​Adam Powell originally trained as a journalist and worked for a range of publications. He has written satirical pieces for online magazines as well as arts journalism. He was also included in the People of Few Words humour anthology. His first book, History's Worst: 2000 Years of Idiocy, was published in 2020. His new book, Soldiering On, is about Great War veterans. He was moved to write this because of his experiences with survivors of both World Wars.
